Stag or g10

It is G10 or Micarta? I have one of those and I thought it was black micarta.

You're right, that was a mistake on my part. I knew it was Micarta (I own one), but the OP was saying G10 and it scrambled my brain!

This knife would make a great woods knife. Maybe the Dozier KS-7 Wilderness knife is a bit tougher. It certainly has a thicker bar stock.

I assume it is hollow ground like most of the Dozier blades?

I might have missed it, but what do you want the knife for? Those knives look dead sexy in stag.
You a western fellow, or more city/modern.

Just like a prefer the look of a nice walnut stock on my rifle over the polymer or plastic, I prefer the stag on my knives.

Now I also own polymer guns and G10 knives... but my favorites are the naturals.

If it's a safe queen, that maybe one day you hope to flip, the stag will be a better purchase IMHO.

Went with blaze orange g10. I have a bad habit of setting my knife down to pull the guts out of deer and having to spend a few minutes looking for it. I just decided that if I was spending this much on a knife, I didn't want to have to modify the stag if it had some rough spots. Plus the orange matches my SAK farmer nicely. Thanks for all the comments

G10 is dirty stuff to work with. Abrasive too. Wood, horn, antler or micarta are all much more user friendly.
