As always, Dave, stunning in inspiration and execution. Merry Christmas to you and yours, dude.Made these for the wife for our Anniversary few months back. Set of eight steak knives with elk handles. The blocks are from an old set of el cheepo imported steak knives trying to be western. The blocks were the best part of that outfit. Sanded them and threw a couple of coats of danish oil on them as well:

She often uses them as regular kitchen knives too cause they are stuuuuupid sharp. They are ground extremely thin from stock that only started out .070 thick to start with, so are slicing sons of guns. AEB-L steel at 62RC.
