Ok...I MUST put this knife in Our good friend Jacks "Military Clasp Knives" Thread...but I just love the Stag so much that I will put it in here as well if that is ok ......
Please excuse the terrible inside pics...

I just absolutely am astounded by this knife- if this was made 80 years ago people would be scrambling over bodies to get hold of it, it is a modern - but a darned beautifully made knife-some of the better Cutlery that honestly matches Custom work, and the Stag has such deep shelving in it! Wow this IS a knife!!!!

When Herman Williams does Stag- he does it good.......

A chiefly special......

Stag on a 17 inch Solingen Fixed blade....

Now this is one of my all time most precious fixed blades of all time, The one and only Mr. Jack Black gifted me this sgian dubh, now Jack knew about my Scottish heritage, and knew it was special to me, and he asked if I had one of these, I told him no because I had never come across one special enough - OH MAN...DID HE!!!! Jack, I havent mentioned just how special this is to me - but this is an extremely special knife to me - gifted by you to me in England...it just does NOT ever get better than that!! - my friend Thank you for this marvelous Stag beauty!!!

hey Jack..how'd you change that photo without an edit showing?

Er...

Some real nice stag here. I think John Lloyd has the biggest, nicest stash of stag in the country (good thing he shares it with other custom makers) and those are some great examples Duncan.

Posted those before but here's some Henckels stag:

I love how different the stag is on each of these. I especially like the Conductor -- the juxtaposition of the dark stag and the shiny shield and bolsters is great.

GEC Conductor in the middle - a Bulldog on either side.

You guys are killing me with your 301s. They're the best clasp knives ever made IMO. I'm going to have to ask my Commonwealth friends to keep an eye out for me, I never see them around here.

Mike, the IXL jack in the last photo is just sublime!

I grabbed my Fight'n Rooster gunstock stockman today. Like a Case 6332 on steroids.

I had a stag GEC 77 delivered today (thanks Sonnemann) but my beautiful wife got the mail on the way out. It's cruising around in her car somewhere at the moment. Torturous.
