Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

Saturday was too busy to post a pic.
The day ended with cutting out the profile of a leatherpouch for the 78.

I already have a pouch for the user 78, but I'm gifting two 78's to our two girl's boyfriends.
I bought one in Ebony and one in White Bone, both singleblades.
The small pouches I want for these are no longer availible and I'll have to make them myself.
Of course I used my own 78 to cut the leather.

Regards
Mikael

Thanks guys, it is an unusual knife, they are timber scribes, the end is a u shaped gouge and was used to mark lumber, timber, crates, etc. They were made by many English and American knife companies, this one probably dates from 1900 or so.
Thanks a lot for the info, Augie.:cool::)
I've heard the term "timber scribe", but I don't recall ever actually seeing one in person or in photo before.

Sweet Amber stag.

Antique stag carving set. Roe Deer antlers. I picked this up at a general auction in Vancouver, B.C. about 30 years ago. I think I paid $20. Blade is 9 in. and marked "Virtue & Co. Stirling" (Scotland, I assume) Silver is hallmarked to Thomas Turner, Sheffield, 1888. I used this set quite often back when I was doing a lot of deer shooting, cooking and eating venison.
