Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

One of the best Forum knives, that 2014 Will! I’m sporting this wee Sambar Lambsfoot on this Saturday. :)

This one is from the '90s. I no longer own it but sure regret that. Bill Pease always seems to have great handle material. I had Coop photograph it and I believe it was in one of the knives annuals.

Absolutely amazing, Win! It just doesn't get any nicer than that!

Thank you. joeradza joeradza taught me that.

My Dad taught me with his old Zeiss Icon, exposed lots of emulsion film back then getting the light right, burned and shaded in the developing room to cheat a little, then the Polaroid Land Camara came out, my Dad had one of the first ones. We are so spoiled today with digital photography.

Composition is a touch, you either got it or you don’t....

You are so right. I can remember burning 30 rolls of film on a trip and praying for just a handful of "keepers". I don't miss those days although those conditions made a better photographer out of you. Just like hunting with a bow vastly improves one's hunting skills.

Thank you Dwight. I do admit digital is easier but it does create more work, post exposure. I tried not to take too many exposures "back in the day" because slide film was costly for a young amateur. However that made me treasure every shot to the extent that both of my children got bored quickly whenever I would photograph them.
Even today I have a tendency to arrange my still lifes such as this one. IMG_7838-1024x869.JPG
