Duncan, just marvelous! This is the reason everyone needs to own some stag, with some good honest use over the years your knife turns into something like this. The very essence behind the old "caterpillar into the butterfly" analogy, just perfect

Why thank you Jamie my friend - I would have loved to see this knife new! but I kinda LOVE it now!!

Harry - it's a beaut isn't it!!! thats a real nice knife there Paul. Now tell me, how can your boys not want to get their paws on THAT ONE!!!!

Thanks Harry, I think of you when Stag #73's are shown;) I was glad to grab this and after a few minutes with it still there it became clear I should buy it:o:D

Duncan, some patterns appeal to them but not the #73:confused:

I always look forward to checking out this thread each Saturday, but I haven't actually posted my admiration for all the fine stag in over a month. I arbitrarily went back to the start of the previous page (basically the start of the new year), and want to officially give everyone props for their fabulous stag!:thumbup:

Genuinely gnarly stag from Mike Robuck!
Super stag on GEC 85s from NJerzy, btmac (also an achingly beautiful S&M scout), Jake, and of course, Mark (clutch carter)!
A Ka Bar fixed blade that's aged like fine wine from Duncan!
swaybacksteve showed all of his stag, and semi-apologized that he only had 5 pieces. The motto of Karl Friedrich Gauss, one of the top 3 mathematicians of all time, was "Few, but ripe!" I think you can certainly apply that to your stag holdings, Steve!
hamsco displayed two single-blade stag peanuts that reminded me of roasting marshmallows over a campfire - gorgeous!
Jeff and Josh showed off splendid Northfield Barlows, and Jeff later displayed another superb stag example (but I'm not sure what model it was).
Barrett had a premium pair of stag 25s!
Congrats to Mike on his first stag, an incredible Tuna Valley (I think)!
I've admired a stag 73 that Paul H has had for quite some time, but now he has another stunning example!
mrknife showed off stag by the dozen, and Tim had a pair of wonderful stag-clad knives that a little later became a trio!
cccxiv illustrated very clearly that stag can come on knives of various sizes!
Robb showed a stellar stag Northwoods from the Gladstone MI days!
tuskbuster had an intriguing example that I didn't recognize (but certainly admired)!
Jeff showed a sublime NYKC stag stockman!
Will shared his lavish little Boker lockback!

As usual, I need a paper towel when I check out this thread, because it always makes me drool! :D

I don't have much stag, but here's one that I don't think I've posted in this thread before. It's a Schrade Wostenholm I*XL canoe that I won in a GAW from cchu.

Nicely symmetric, IMHO:
