Always wanted a Buck Sambar Stag handled fixed blade knife. But, these days, they are out of my price range. So, I decided to get the next best thing. I got a Buck Elk Stag fixed blade knife. The more bark, the better. I think I got a pretty good one. Not Sambar, but still nice.

4 3/4 inches, not including copper bale. Sheep's foot blade (shortened a little due to a broken tip), marlin spike for picking stones out of horse's hooves. Integral iron bolsters and liners. These knives were not government issued but privately paid for and shipped to soldiers. T-A

This MS Wilburn trapper is in my top 3 favorite knives..it's one that I've appreciated more and more with time.
My favorite piece of Sheffield stag

Every time I see this I think it's got just about perfect texture for stag. And they did a good job cutting it, with no bark ground off.
What a good sized knife with useful blades! Beautiful to boot
