Certainly the Galvanic is legendary but in many ways your 68 Elk and S&M Sowbelly are it's equals. There may even be certain methods of comparison in which they actually exceed the Galvanic.
You know, beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that.

I*XL G. WOSTENHOLM & SON WASHINGTON WORKS SHEFFIELD is the mark on this small belt knife that I found at a local antique mall many years ago. The tip of the sheath is missing.




And according to Marc Newman's book CIVIL WAR KNIVES, page 56, an identical knife, which is currently on display at the Museum of the Confederacy, belonged to Captin Rasin of the Confederate Army.


The knife dates between 1848, when the Washington Works facility opened, and 1891, when the tariff law passed, requiring country-of-origin marks on imports. If it could only talk... Thanks for watching! T-A

No new one to show so I'm afraid you'll have to endure these. The Drop-Point is a user but the 2 blade Jack remains unviolated....

I do have a new Stag knife on its way, but it could take quite some time.....
