Certainly the Galvanic is legendary but in many ways your 68 Elk and S&M Sowbelly are it's equals. There may even be certain methods of comparison in which they actually exceed the Galvanic. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I*XL G. WOSTENHOLM & SON WASHINGTON WORKS SHEFFIELD is the mark on this small belt knife that I found at a local antique mall many years ago. The tip of the sheath is missing.

And according to Marc Newman's book CIVIL WAR KNIVES, page 56, an identical knife, which is currently on display at the Museum of the Confederacy, belonged to Captin Rasin of the Confederate Army.

The knife dates between 1848, when the Washington Works facility opened, and 1891, when the tariff law passed, requiring country-of-origin marks on imports. If it could only talk... Thanks for watching! T-A
