Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

Here's the baby stag show. Two peanuts (case and S & M) and a case tiny trapper.

What a fantastic display of stag you all are providing today!:thumbup:
I especially enjoy the wide variety of "looks" among the stag examples posted today!
Ted, just on your own, you provided quite a smorgasbord of stag!;)

I have a perfectly good Rough Rider stag canoe, but for some reason, I bought 3 more of them this week!:confused: Maybe I'm stockpiling them for gifts or something. Anyway, they give another good example of the variability of stag, even within a particular model. Here are mark side, pile side, and "blade well" (so you can see variations in thickness and symmetry of the slabs) shots of my new trio. (The order of the knives is the same from top to bottom in each pic.)

Who slipped up last Saturday and didn't post any stag!? An investigation is commencing and detention slips will be handed out!!

R Bose Wharncliffe Trapper, 440V steel and some gorgeous pocket worn stag.

Jake - A beautiful Bose and a beautiful photo! Stunning Stag!:thumbup:

A poor man's Bose Stag! :eek::D

Beautiful knives, Jake and Kris!

Jake, I think you get a pass on the detention slip. You can thank Reese for that! ;)

Something different for me today, a 1983 Fight'n Rooster in a unique, dogleg / round bolstered gunstock jack pattern.
Pretty nicely matched stag, too! Closed length is 3-[SUP]9[/SUP]/[SUB]16[/SUB] inches.

I really like that boning knife Kris.

Jeff, I like the mix of Eureka and Gunstock. That's definitely and interesting combination.

Alan, I like the leather fob, it matches the stag quite well.

Ron, nothing wrong with a tear drop!

Thanks Jake, but since I don't carry it that often is it okay to store it with the fob?

I don't see why not. It's not like you'd be keeping the knife in a sheath or a slip where moisture can be trapped. I haven't heard of a leather lanyard or fob causing any issues but I can't give the definitive answer. I'd be surprised if anyone has ever had an issue though.

Got this one yesterday and it was nasty but I got cleaned up.

Funny thing I have been over it with a fine tooth comb and found No makers marks.
