Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

Thanx guys.
I got that popcorn carver at a show for around $10, ages ago.
There were more...
Had I known what was going to happen with stag, the embargo and ensuing price hike(s), I wouldn't have used it on a kit blade.
And I would've emptied the box on the vendor's table.
Oh well.
:)

It's a very nice taper and it's indeed hard to get one of that quality nowadays.
The Finn's do good blades and that I. Järvenpää kitblade looks like a perfect user.
I like the style and I make similiar models, but on Mora laminated blades.
I have one taper left in my stash and it will be used on a Mora 311 blank.
The taper is far from the quality of Yours, so I think You should be proud of the outcome!

Mikael

Thank you!
I was very proud of my work. Felt like I invented the perfect knife.
Then I realized that I re-invented the Swedish Army Knife :D

Mine is prettier though :D

Great to see all the beautiful Stag this week! :D:thumbup:

To my knowledge, I'm not sure there are any specific Mora for the army, but there are Mora models marked with army symbols and used by the army.
I know that Mora have used Mooseantler in the past, but on hunting models.
Anyway, I agree with You, Yours are prettier!

Here are two Mora 311 kitblanks with Stag.

The Crown is assembled and in service.
The Carver has yet to be finished, maybe I'll do it this winther.

Beautiful work there :)

It's been the Swedish Army Knife aka SwAK around here for a long time... incorrect or not lol.

Let's keep that stagalicious goodness coming!

Hurrah! It's Saturday again, and very welcome too.:D:thumbup:

Here's some GEC Stag 85 carbon top and 33 stainless below.

I'm really liking this 25. Fits the hand nicely and the stag is awesome. The 33 is elegant even if the previous owner removed the bail.

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen that one Ron. That's a beauty. I like the Trappers like that with the taller clip blades. Beautiful lines on that one.

Thanks Bob. I got this one from our friend Brett, some time back. You might not have noticed the "10" on the bolster.;) He has good taste and I had a fast trigger finger on this one, it went fast when he posted the thread.:D

god those are beautiful, was hoping to score a back up a while back but it didnt work out. 48 big clips!

Thanks Jack, I thought of you, knowing you love of single blades, when I was posting this photo.
