Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

Here's the 33 Conductor that I nicknamed The Flamethrower Special...especially horrible it looked when it arrived. Mark side like a piece of charred wood o_O Scraped off some of the overdone potassium permanganate but even so. Abandoned it to the tube for a year or two then recently got it out, very light sanding and polish with beeswax plus some pocket-time. It will never be in a booty contest ;) still less stellar Stag but it's not too bad and why not give it a chance at Christmas?

It'd be interesting to know the process they use in India for the PP application to bulk export antler.

She's still a pretty enough knife in my eyes anyway mate 👍

Hatchet_Jack Hatchet_Jack Thanks mate, it was possibly done by GEC when trying to get a Burnt stag look? Stag's a lottery and all the GEC stuff I've had or traded or given away (and lost...) has been really nice- bound to get the :poop: end of the stick sooner or later:D. With some pocket wear and regular waxing I agree it will become a pretty knife, the longpull and worked bolsters are really nice and the fit of the knife is excellent- no rub and great snap!

Well I think they succeeded in that if it was the goal!

A very delicate sanding can take back the PP acceptably.
