Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

These have been in my pocket this past week or so... a 74 and a 68. Neither is terribly "gnarly", actually tending toward smooth, especially the 68. The 74 has a little more character on the pile side....They are so uniform, thickness-wise, they are both a pure joy to use.

I did this on Saturday, but somehow forgot to hit "post"..... 😞 Here it is a few days late....

Thanks for the reply, Dave, and best wishes in your search for info about the Max Sao bolster.
I just heard back from Max himself (got in touch via his instagram). He says the bolsters on this knife are bone which he cuts and polishes, then "spent a lot of time extending the undulations of the stag onto the bone." Thanks for asking and getting me to follow up. Pretty cool to get it from the maker! cc: jmh33 jmh33

Fine pair of stag beauties there Gary! Lance
Thanks, Lance. :)
I really like stag covers, but when I started out the "knife hobby", I didn't think stag would fit the budget I set. But after more than a decade of hanging out at BF, I've found out great deals on stag pocket knives come up now and then if you're patient and lucky (right place, right time).🤓
