That is some very nicely matched stag.... something that Case doesn't always achieve... very nice...

oops... noticed that was NOT a Case.... a Colt.... I wonder who made that for them? Nicely done....

I have 3 patterns from Colt with nice stag like that - canoe, copperhead, and muskrat. I don't remember if they had other stag patterns. Colt was selling those in the spring/summer of 2016, I think. The stag was amazing, IMHO, as was the price, $20 each. I always wish I had bought a lot more of them to give or trade away before they all disappeared. (I tried for the past 10 minutes to find used ones online, but all I can find are stag bone knives Colt used to produce.)

As far as who made them, they were made in China, probably for SMKW. After the Colt brand was "retired", several Colt patterns showed up as either Rough Ryder or Marble's knives, identical to the Colt versions except for tang stamps and shields. I've always thought the rumor that RR, Marble's, Colt were all made in the same Chinese factory made sense.
