Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

It came in a lot of 10 pieces that was supposed to be a mix of both stag and elk, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to really know which it is.

It had an appropriate curve and suitable dimensions so I used it.

My 1st assumption was elk, but i just don't know enough to tell when you have a piece that isn't very obviously deer stag.

Still looks like Elk to me, especially when seeing that that thick pith!! I'm not an expert, but my experience tells me that tale so far!!!

Cracker Jack, my Ashley's Choice lambsfoot, was my Lambsfoot of the Week last week and it's my Stag/Horn Knife of the Week this week.

Which Stag enthusiast wouldn't lose their mind over this one? Spectacular blackened mode look on the bolster and slabs, the minor blade's seen some wear which makes the whole thing even more appealing. This is what happens with vintage stag mated to all steel construction, I can't help suspecting that brass liners would not be contributing to this wonderful dark look..... You are in possession of some fine items Rob, it's a privilege for us to be able to see them, and dream...
