Stainless Steel File Guides

Oh, Ok, I actually hadnt thought of that. The older Bump file guides were W1 steel and they worked great with the bubble jig. I had complaints about rust so switched to 304 stainless. I wanted 416 stainless but the cost was prohibitive. You could always JB Weld a thin metal shim on each side for magnetic applications. You want me to do that for ya?
Hi Bruce,
I want to use them with Fred Rowe's Bubble Jig. I don't have to put the bubble jig on the guide - I can put it on the knife. Put me down for two.

How about recessing a magnet from the inside with a shallower opening on the outer side so the magnet would not be pulled out?

Would a magnet rust?

I just received one of Bruces file guides and I am very pleased! This tool is extremely well made and finished. It's just what I had hoped for.
Thanks Bruce!
