So, remind me, what are the thicknesses of the two, please ?
Not sureAnyone know if the "standard chopper" will share the same specs as the OG "medium chopper"?
I think I’m leaning this way also! What scales?I appreciate the insights, fellas.
I don't have an abundance of choppers as I typically take a smaller belt knife and an axe when I go out. But I do like them and the chopper I got from Jonny years ago has been my go-to (a Becker BK20) - I've beat the hell out of that thing (as have my daughter, and my brother, etc.)
I do not have a CPK big 'un yet and I can't justify getting both options so the experiences you guys shared affirmed the direction I was going with regards to my choice. I will be looking to get a MC. That will round out my CPK assortment rather nicely, I think.
OG LC: .185
OG MC: .217
My specimens anyway![]()

No such thing as a flipper on a pre-orderAnd then you have the flippers….
The HDMC is forward heavy, very much like that BK20 you got from me. I think you’ll like the MC, because it doesn’t feel like it’s going to slip out of your hands after prolonged use and fatigue comes into play. I could only chop for so long with that BK20, before I felt like it was going to slip out of my hands.I appreciate the insights, fellas.

What are speed holes? The lack of speed holes in the LC rendering is very troubling……….. can we ask for extra random holes to be drilled at the ricasso and along the spine?
What are speed holes?
Thanks, that doesn’t make any sense at all to me lol.
