Right in the middle of loving on my new 710D2, I run into this on pre-order status at one of the big internet retailers. A Titanium framelock Assisted 3 3/4 clip point in S30V for $204. I'm amazed, how about you guys?

It's a pretty thing, but I don't care for assisted open. Pass.

I am not huge on assisted openers either, but it sure is a sexy blade... not sure if this one or the 755 is going to get my money...

I'd pick one up if it looked more like the 750 pinnacle, and didn't have a cheap looking design.

I like the design, though it has a couple of issues such as the assisted opening and how far the lockbar goes to toward the end of the handle (too close, IMO).

EDIT: Forgot to add Ill probably get one, since it reminds me too much of a refined 750 not to at least try it out.

Looks nice, but as a Lefty, frame locks feel weird to me, even if the stud is reversible, it feels weird in hand once opened. Wish it was an Axis

Well some good points. I would perfer unassisted too but I can live with it.
The blade is beautiful and I have no problem with the frame's design.
Is it reasonable to expect the next iteration of this knife to be an axis lock?
That would be ideal.

Anyway I like it and think its most likely #1 on the "What to buy Next" list. :)

A/O? :(

Recurve? :(

Still looks like a nice piece, though. The handle design is reminiscent of the Skirmish.

I'd be amazed if it had an option for tip-up carry. There are a couple of benchmades i've passed on because this has not been an option :(

If you don't like AO (which I don't) I have yet to see a Benchmade that you couldn't convert to manual by taking out a small part or two. ;)

Tip-down and assisted opening kill it for me, unfortunately. I'm curious though. Why isn't it listed on Benchmade's site? Even discontinued models like the Switchback are still up, so it can't be that.

It's a 2010 model. They won't be putting it up on their site until after the the SHOT show.

That is one fine design, but like the others, the assisted opening is a deal breaker for me. :(

Again, to folks who don't like the AO--I'm sure you can disable it. I've been able to easily convert both their Outburst and Nitrous AO mechanisms to manual by removing a single part.

That being said, if you don't want to go through the hassle that's fine too. :)

The design looks like they drilled a bunch of screws into the handle. Plus, I'm not a fan of assisted openers. No offense intended to the OP or others who really like the design.

JMO, YMMV.
