Started my grinder build

Well I assembled it today, mounted everything to the base plate, drilled out the motor mount holes, and put the stand for my switch box, primed and put a coat of paint on some parts. Good day!!

I should be able to assemble everything on monday, still building the work rest, but everything else seems good!

Bee in Canada makes a very good grinder that's available from Caadian Knife Maker Supply. I've been using one for over thirty years. Frank
 
few more pics , first of the platen, just a two inch angle iron, with an O-1 platen. Work rest that pivots off the main arm, and I milled a slot into the 2 1/2 inch by half inch flat stock for the 3" angle iron to pivot on, I can use pretty much the whole platen , and adjust the angle throughout.
