Congrats!

I enjoy the limited Buck releases. It's like GEC only with lower blood pressure. I don't like every GEC, so I pass a lot, but sometimes one ticks the boxes. Buck limited runs typically sell out in one to two days, and now that they're working some high-end options but still in that sub-$250 range, it's more affordable than trying to chase Holt or Koenig or CRK or Demko. Not that I stop chasing those, but a GEC or Buck limited drop every now and again doesn't crush the wallet the same way and is just as much fun.
 
Holy crap, it was just yesterday and there's already a guy with an ad up on the auction site, $370.00 bucks. :oops:

His ad says "Actual pics to follow soon" as he's using a pic from Buck's site....yeah no s**t no actual pics IT WAS YESTERDAY GOOBER! You haven't even gotten your knives shipped yet!

Well okay then. Goober, if you're out there i'm sorry and don't get me wrong, i'm a capitalist myself and I believe in a free market, if I could get that kinda price there's a whole lot of my stuff i'd probably sell too and maybe will some day, times is tough and i'm guilty of overspending lately, whiskey bill alone would be bad enough but then there's buying stuff whilst drinkin' the whiskey and all...... 😏

My only real problem with the deal is two-fold:
1. Not cool to use other people's pics to sell your stuff, especially when...
2. You don't even have the product you're offering to sell, in your possession yet.

I have sold a ton of things online over the years myself, but those two things just struck me as kinda unethical.

Yeah, that kills me.

I was finally checking my email at the right time. I could have bought one of these; but ultimately decided "I don't collect 110s, I'll leave those so some real collector can get one.". I just want one because I want a Magnacut user and my 420HC 110 is my favorite hunting knife.

Then I see adds from flippers and think "Damnit, at least I'd be using it". Ah well, at $370 dollars some collector who can't get one any other way will finally be able to add it to their collection I guess.

Why is there so much resentment and animosity towards people who attempt to sell knives on eBay at a profit? Is it any product sold at a profit or only Buck knives? If it is the latter the question again is why?

most of those knives sit in ebay knife museum and never get purchased... probably where the animosity comes from. if youre going to sell it, why not actually sell it? theres a diffence between paying more than you want and paying more than you should. Usually I laugh at these, "theres one born every minute" types, but it sucks when you want to buy a knife and it sits on ebay for 3 years.
 
If you want the item you pay the price, if you don't Iike it at that price you don't buy it, a very simple economic principle. No different than a car, a house, or a can of soup. In the final analysis a knife is just a product, subject to the same economic principles as all other products.
