I voted carbon too, and I agree with Coonskinner that VG-10 is the only stainless that I get really excited about. I haven't run across any stainless blade with an edge as aggressive as my beloved Spyderco Ayoob.

L6steel:

In regards to:

"Anyone ever seen a folder with an L6 blade?"

I have one on order from Darrel Ralph right now. Forged too! :D

I voted stainless as I prefer the lesser work load. That said I love D2, CPM 10V, 1095 and Damascus Steel!

Oh I love M2 as well, but that is as good as stainess thanks to BT2, even if it is UGLY!

On the stainless steels I like BG-42 top, then VG-10 then 440C then ATS-34/154CM

So my current top steel is Double High Carbon from Devin Thomas! With CPM 10V second and M2 third! Damn I aught to have voted carbon steel!

Most good blade steel is fine by me.
Doesnt matter ss or carbon .

Favs are 52100 d2 420v and 154cm for now.
