Steelcraft Mini-Bodega

Great review Blue Dude! Thanks for posting!
One question, sorry if I missed it, how does the jimping on the blade feel?
Thanks
Joe

Thanks, no problem!

I think it's pretty decent. It's not "Spyderco jimping", but it works.

Duh. Sorry meant bluesbender

The screws weren't loose, and I don't know if there was loctite. There was definately some grease in the pivot though. The screws seemed "normally" tight, but adequate.

I had to "pry" the scales apart a little with a screwdriver to open the knife up. There are 2 (or 3?) press-fit pins that hold the handle together.

Thx. Sounds well made. Mine is sitting on my dinning room table waiting to be opened.

While the handle of the Mini Bodega is 4 inches due to the guard/flipper tab there's only 3.25" room for a grip. You have to bunch up your fingers tight together to fit them on the handle. Alternatively, use the small finger choil on the blade with no adverse effect.

You are awesome, appreciate the pics and all the contribution to the thread.

Hey RamZar - Any word on smoothing yours out? I'm still not satisfied with the action on mine. I'm more than willing to send it TBK if there's something they can do.

My Mini Bodega came back on Friday. It's much smoother now and the gritty/grinding noise is gone. It's still not as buttery smooth as my Kwaiken but that may have more to do with longer and heavier blade. Very satisfied now. Recommend you send it in.
