I have placed an order with Stellar Rig for several items, the Pocket Pal, Buck Mini-tool, Space pen and a neck holster for my NAA .22. I understand that it is a small order but still I am a customer. Stellar Rig charged my credit card but never advise me when they are shipping it out or methods of tracking, if any. I placed several calls and emails to them with no replies. Today I finally got the owner on the phone and he told me that the items had been shipped USPS and he also stressed the point that "For someone that only ordered a few items he really could not find the time away from his bench to answer all my calls and email".

The question is, am I bothering him because I placed an order but do not know if it was shipped? Or if I actually have to place a large and expensive order before I will get my phone calls or emails return? The reason for the several calls and emails was because he never answered neither of them.

I've seen pictures of the holders and it looks like a good idea but a little pricey. I bought holders for a Micra and Arc AAA from Normark for $9 each and they are top quality.

There was a problem with Stellar several years ago on knifeforums. IIRC, one of the moderators saw that some of the products were of inferior quality at a show and posted a warning. The owner got a little huffy. I don't remember all of the details but I would never order from Stellar.

Thanks for the additional info on this company. Unfortunately I have already paid for the items thru credit card and I figure if I can discover the true side of this owner for a $100 it's worth it. Hope that the products will be usable as they advertised once I receive them. What got me all upset was base upon his web site posting: "if you can find a cheaper price we will match it", and when I do questioned him concerning a lower price I saw on another site, he got all upset over it.
I will think if one do not want to match prices with others or reply any requests concerning their products, one should not be in this type of business. You post it on the web, people is going to question you, that's as simple as I can put it.
Thanks again and hope to find a better web site to do my business with next time. I think 1SKS, Bladeart and CRK are all GREAT people and I have never experience anything like this with any of them.
:p

Well you can bet I would never order anything from this guy again. No matter what size your order is, he should never make it seem like you are not worth his time. If you do not want to deal with little orsers tell people that you have a minimum order. Don't tell people that their purchase was to small to worry about.

I ordered a sheath for a knife I made, from Stellar about two months ago, picked sit up a couple weeks ago.
Went 36 days with no contact, even when Mr. Kaye had to order some parts, and then decided to re-do the sheath, he never contacted me to let me know it would take longer than his "form letter" claimed... and still, 36 days is a hell of a lot longer than I was basically told.
The sheath was perfectly servicible, and functional, but not quite as well made as I expected for my $51 (total), and it did need tightening at the lip of the sheath, where it was formed around the integral guards, because it wasnt very tight there, and didnt make the pleasing click I thought it should, and the knife could be shaken out of the sheath with little effort when held upside down... but I did that on my own... and kept the sheath because I didnt want to keep the knife (which was for my G/f) any longer than I had to, as it was alreayd much later than I'd promised her. ( :( )

However, I dont think I will be doing business with Stellar again, as I didnt find it all that "stellar".

I am sure this Stellar fellow is going to run himself out of business sooner or later. The internet buyers are very concern about customer service and quality control, because we never have the chance to inspect the products but just base our trust in the seller.

I have not receive my Pocket Pal, muti-toll, space pen and the neck sheath yet. I am sure the Buck tool and the space pen will be working great, but have doubt on the pocket-pal and the neck sheath. His web page stated how great his inventions are and that's what attracted my attention. Well, at least I am a $100 smarter!
