Steve Ryan - BOLD and INSPIRING FOLDERS

Passion(anger, jealousy(not applicable in bladenbarrel's case, here) joy, lust....) are all part of collecting....it's a passionate pursuit.....you are not going to change "us".

Welcome to BladeForums.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

True to an extent, but still NO excuse to be sarcastic and rude.

Welcome, Rampage.

I would hazard to guess that the majority of self-appointed pundits on this forum have never met the maker or examined any of the knives in question. If you have not, then how can have an opinion? So in other words, if you don't know what you are talking about, please spare us...

I currently own two Ryan folders and have owned a dozen of his knives over the years and handled many more.

When I created this page for my next book, combining images
from four separate pictures taken by Eric Eggly (PointSeven),
I was struck only by the drama in these knife designs.

Setting the illustration as seen here was a challenge and I was
extremely glad I spent these several hours of photoshop play
doing it.

From a designer's point of view, especially one interested in knives,
This is an amazing collection of bold, sharp, and probably quite functional, art!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Thank you Kevin.

I expected nothing less from Steven.

Do you know me? Are you going off of some prior knowledge of what I write on the Forums?

Your first name probably isn't Quinton, so who are you?

9 posts and you see fit to insult me? People wonder why I have a negative attitude.

Kevin's my friend, and if he sees fit to play the hall monitor, no sweat by me, he's earned my respect. Kevin also knows that I never needed an excuse to be sarcastic.

I have no idea how these knives would feel in the hand, but I think they are undeniably unique and in many cases very cool. David's pictures definitely elevates them beyond what I've seen before.
This is a very interesting thread, especially given that I probably wouldn't otherwise give the work of Steve Ryan a second look because his knives don't really fit my particular views and biases.
I doubt anyone could question the title of the thread, as it really seems to hit the mark:thumbup:

Thanks, Lorien, the guy with the peacemaker's logic. :)
You captured my feelings exactly as I had them
when, weeks ago, at 03:00 in the morning, I stared at
the completed page....

All the best,
