Stickies and change

I bumped the "How To stonewash your CRK" thread for sticky consideration. I don't know if it's a popular enough topic to warrant sticky-status...that's for you to decide :)

Yes- The pics are gone so the information is not really relevant anymore.

It's nice to see it cleaned up. However, I'd suggest leaving the "Just Pictures" threads unconsolidated. It was nice being able to see that there were new posts from the main CRK page.

Another thought... If the sticky thread isn't "closed" maybe it should remain unconsolidated so that new posts can be noticed.

They do show up when pictures are posted in them..Just not stickied. New content always rises towards the top..just not stickied.
Mainly, the issue is, I skip most of the stickies and I am sure others do too as they are just a half-page of stickies before content. make sense?
 
It looks sooo much better, thank you for taking the initiative to do it!

It's sort of like mowing the lawn, you know it'll look better once it's done, but getting started is sometimes more difficult than the job itself.

If possible I would like my CRK History Timeline Stickey to not be closed as I add to it when new CRK info comes out. Otherwise I will have to email you every time I need to make a change to it.

Okay, looks like I can edit it, but can't reply to it. At times due to character limits I have to go to a new post. I will be unable to do this with it lock
 
Great job bhyde, simplified but easily accessible. I need to do the same thing with my garage.

The threads I have in the new stickies are as locked or unlocked as when I got to them..I have no intentions on locking those threads, otherwise, the point of the exercise would be lost and your thread is definitely not one that should be lost :)
Is there an issue I need to resolve with it?

I honestly like it..I really hate to see it fall too far from the first page.


Again, thank you all for your contributions and I really hope that the changes are something that is seen as community driven.
 
I'm all for consolidating threads with links but let me put this out there, how about Dave's original pics only thread stand alone as a nod to Dave and all he did here and throuout the forums. Dave was an intrinsic part of the CRK forum and BFC as a whole. Dave put the first Sebenza I ever carried in my hands via a pass around many moons ago. Just my 2 cents and a little show of respect for a great guy.

I'm up for what ever makes navigating the forum easier Bill.
