Case had finally responded after getting my filled out form and photos, but it took several days, so I reached out to the dealer and they promptly helped me and I sent mine back to them and they shipped out a new one that they first checked all 5 of their remaining stock to make sure that the one they picked out was the best of the five.

And it is better, but with that lazy spey blade that will just have to work itself in over time.

@Gary W. Graley I'm glad it worked out for you. For what it's worth, the lazy sheepfoot blade on my 20CV stockman has stiffened up quite a bit. I suppose filing down the kick and a couple months' use has broken it in and it now reliably snaps shut of its own accord. Hopefully yours will do the same.

Yeah, I like carrying my 66s, because they're just good users. I just wish the secondary blades had a little more snap. I guess that's why my Case stockmans get more pocket time.
