Using my Case 3318 today, hanging a new kitchen fixture over the sink. This old picture taken six years when I was working on a dishwasher - today’s work is all ladder work (and I hate that!). The Case and the Kleins are both longtime helpers. OH

Yesterday's carry, Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co. #9729 Junior Cattle Knife from the late 1940's - early 1950's era. For a knife that was designed to be an economy knife (gum-fuddy handles) it is amazingly well fitted with half-stops on all three blades, perfect spring alignment in all three blade positions and excellent W&T. I think Camillus did HSB proud with these knives. OH

So sorry if use and patina are not ... kosher ... for the brand and/or model.
If I can't/shouldn't use it, what "good" is it? I've carried and used all my knives at one time or another ... "Collector Value" (if any or applicable) be daRned. It isn't for sale during my lifetime, anyway.

Donuts ain't for bait, rite? (Less you after carp, and/or cats and/or bullheads, and/or pike/muskie, and/or beautiful she Mermaids. )

btw: smoked carp is very much yummy, and at grocer is 2x what an T-Bone/Porter House goes for the last time I witnessed , about 5 year ago ... probably more now.
DaRn In Flation ... We need some DE Flation so prices on everything is "reasonable" priced again like they was in the 1700's to +/- 1910.
Ide no complain if a gallon of gasoline was under $0.05, good high end knives was a couple bucks, a good barlow for 1 er 2 bits, Winchester lever or pump gun and Colt or Remington or S&W revolver for under $30 each, $600 for a new car, under $10,000 for a 3br 2.5 ba home, $100/acre or less fertile farm land with an creek running through ....
oh well ... mebby the next life will have high income + low, low prices.
