Stockman Sunday picture show

Here's a brand I knew very little about and after doing research I haven't increased my knowledge much more from when I started. What I do know is "Red Stag" knives where made for Charles Goodwin out of Chattanooga TN. I believe Charles either worked for or owned a Coca Cola bottling company/distributorship?

The maker is unkown to me but in my mind it certainly has an Obertz feel to it. The blades reflect, Obertz made Bulldog characteristics I think. The cut swage on one side of the main with long pull and drawn swage on opposite side of the main. The sheepfoot reflects Obertz as well. If someone has any info I'd certainly like to know. What I do know is it's a fantastic knife f&f wise. Solid and centered blades with great snap. Great stag with slight shoulders near the bolsters which reflects German cutlery:thumbsup:

I love the Stag stamped main blade and the tang stamps. I am kind of fond of the Red Stag shield as well:thumbsup:
