So these ARE carbon steel blades?
I've only seend NOS knives and nobody could ever confirm what steel they used.

89' Case 6347 SS, with satin finish, which I like more than the polished stainless. Love the color of the bone covers as well. It was an early Xmas present, so right into the pocket it goes.

That is one sweet pocketknife! I agree, much prefer the "working" finish on the stainless vs. the polished finish.

Here's a Buck Colt that I bought about 40 years ago, so I'd have something smaller & dressier than my Uncle Henry 885, for special occasions.

Like many, I suspect, the Chinese imports were my gateway into knife collecting. These were two of the very first stockman knives I bought, about 16 years ago. Before that I was a drop point lockback user.

This coppertone acrylic Cuban Stockman was my first GEC stockman, beginning my 15 year quest to collect all the #5383xx variants (successfully, I might add!).
