I caught up with this thread earlier this week and was inspired to pick up a new stockman. Nothing fancy but it's my first slipjoint from Buck. The spey blade came a little thicker than I prefer but that's easily fixed. I think it'll work just fine.

Nostalgia has seized me just as I post this. Beautiful sunny summer day AT LAST, trees out etc and an ancient DC-3 aeroplane is droning in the sky, slow, silver and like some giant insect. It's very old, 1942-like your current President- and here's some other nostalgia to augment it.
