Stockmen

Stockman. My favorite pattern.

Dr Penguin, Was it a trapper or a folding hunter? The Frontier trapper is 4" and the folding hunter is 5 1/4" closed. They both come in a two blade version.

You're right edbeau, it was a folding hunter. Don't know what I was thinking, lol.

He bought it when I was a kid and the last time he showed it to me it had that green stuff in all of the joints and spaces. Seen a lot of hard use that knife.

As you might imagine, I could post a plethora of Buck stockmen. But, how about just my all-time fav-o-rite. 300

OK, one more and a sad story. Custom pre-ban elephant ivory 303. Sent to be scrimshawed, while there was in divorce fight and disappeared.

Hi 300,

I have Bark Ivory like that on my old colt 70 series combat commander. Its something else and I cant imagine how nice it makes that Buck. That really stinks that it disappeared.

The Craftsman joins its bigger brothers: Schrade 8OT, and Böker USA Tree Brand.

All nice bonusmarple! The stockman and cattleknife are my favorite patterns although I have branched out a little.

This guy, a Case 6318HE medium stockman, I may not have this one soon, I'm in the middle of a trade pending this guy and a 6375CV amber bone stockman, I'm pretty excited X)

This knife belonged to a Navy buddy of mine that I served with at various duty stations for 20-plus years. He used the heck out of it but didn't abuse it. His widow gave it to me after he passed. Here it is just as his widow took it from off his dresser. Pretty rough but still a good serviceable knife. Jerry was a Radioman Senior Chief.
