Stolen Bag Giveaway!

I have a friend who was going to school in Florida, but still came back to Virginia at least every other month or so. Her car was starting to sound really bad, and acted up all the time. She claimed that her mechanic was taking care of it. But I did a little checking on the car and found out that wasn't the case. So I bought all the parts for a full tune up as well as an oil change and the chemicals needed for a complete system flush, and did the work for her at no charge. I was worried that the car would leave her stranded on her way back, and she didn't have the cash to get it taken care of. Wouldn't have been able to live with myself if something had happened to her....

Oh, and since I already have a Model 1 folder and love it, if I win I'm planning on giving the knife to a friend of mine who has been eyeing mine since I got it. He'd love to get a knife, but hasn't had the finances available to do so. So this entry is for him.

Thanks for the contest! :D

ALRIGHT! The winner was post number 25. FortyTwoBlades!! Congrats brotha! Do with it what you will. This folder has served me well. I cleaned and sharpened it last night. Shoot me your address. I'll PM you a tracking number when I ship it out.

I have given away a very nice Dovo straight razor here on the forums (back at my 1000th post) and am presently giving away a Condor Bush Knife over on the W&SS subforum, the drawing for which I do tomorrow. I have gifted knives to countless friends, family, and acquaintances, and not a person I'm close to does not value a knife at this point.

Also at work I've cut deals for folks that were well below what I should probably do (don't want to get yelled at by the boss man!) for folks I thought genuinely needed the knife they were looking at (most often times EMTs and firefighters, etc. but lots of regular folk too!) but couldn't afford the piece that was best for them.

Gave a contract employee at a gov't facility a Klein folder. He's an electrician and appreciates good tools and it made his day when I passed it on. Great thread you started and good idea.

Congrats 42Blades!! :)

I can't tell you all how happy this thread made me.... D, you rock Bro!

I kinda hate talking myself up but I could use a good folder here in California for edc so here it goes...

I was in the Philippines building some housing for a small community when one of the local villagers working with us split his toe open with a cinderblock because he was working barefoot (half of them did). After I cleaned him up we sent him off to go get stitches at the clinic and I gave him my shoes so he could continue working and and protect his toe/keep it clean. For the rest of the trip it was my turn to do construction in flip flops.

Woah! Can't believe it! Thanks a ton, bro, I really appreciate it! :D :D :D

I'd been wanting to pick one of these up, but didn't want to as a result of the politics. Now I don't have to worry. You rock!

It ended. Don't care I lost glad i could share. Congrats FortyTwoBlades!!!:):)

I know you said I shouldnt feel bad, I still do though....Anyways this happened a few years ago:

I walked into the kitchen and saw my mom over the cutting bored with a crappy fillet knife trying to cut tomatoes. I could tell the knife was dull and she was getting irritated. I then said "Mom I got something for you" I walked into my room and grabbed a Cold Steel Finn Wolf. As you guys know it is very cheap, but very sharp and would serve kitchen duty well. I walked back in and she saw the sheath in my hand. She rolled her eyes as usual. I unsheathed the knife and said "try this". She took the knife and sliced through the tomato. She was very excited "It's like a new world!" She was very very happy. It mad her day and she still uses it all the time :) Just to see her happiness made me feel very good.

Congrats 42! You deserve it...especially since you gave such an awesome prize to a really good guy in your last giveaway!
