Stolen: Entire collection

I strongly recommend you hit every pawn shop in your area and offer a generous reward for the return of these knives. They'll keep a lookout for you.

Problem is, some of those guys don't have scruples, and may have already bought some of them. If you wait to long to go in, they'll deny that the knives are in their possession and then throw them in the dumpster.

Get to the pawn shops before the burglars do.

Also, I highly recommend you start watching ebay and craigslist in your area. You can get your stuff back if you keep a lookout for it.

very sorry Sir. not much worse than a low down dirtbag thief. hopefully he/she/them get caught doing something else wrong and your stuff gets retruned and they pay for their crimes.

if you woulnd't mind, could you explain without going into personal details how the crime occured? meaning did the dirtbag(s) break a window, door was left unlocked by accident? kicked in the door? found a hidden key? what have you. reason is i find it valuable for myself and others, i assume, to know what new tricks thieves are up to in this economy.

i am asking that, but i realize you're occupied right now trying to get justice and your knives back. i mean when you get to a place where you have the time to give us that info. thanks in advance, and hopefully your rider insurance will cover the whole collection.

Sorry it happened, but your post is useless if we don't know where you live.

I also agree that there's a high chance you got robbed by someone you know.
Agree on both counts. I would be willing to bet that one of your knife-lovin' acquaintences had something to do with it. Someone that knows your schedule, the layout of your house, and the value of your stuff. There is no such thing as coincidences when it comes to these things.

This just sucks, but again without knowing where you live it does no good. The same was said on the Spyderco forum when you intially posted this. Best of luck, hope the dirtbag thief gets some jail time. You've gotten some good advice, I'd recommend acting on it.

real good chance it was family or friends
stuff they could throw ina bag or pack and be un-noticed
shame
I have caught family RED HANDED stealing my meds...
had a family member steal cash from my father in law while he laid in the hospital with a stroke... $1500 bucks.
put nothing past friends or family... hate to say.
look for the person with the DRUG PROBLEM ... FIRST

Man thats sh!++y, hope that thief falls on a few of them knives...twice.:D But like everyone else said patrol local pawn shops, ebay, hell even amazon. And definitely do not rule out a "friend" cuz if the knives were not in plain sight and still got taken over game stations, dvds, other jewelry, etc then the thief knew where they were and what they were worth. If I was a folder guy I'd gladly send you one. Keep your head up and your guns cocked.

Really sorry to hear about this. I've only had one knife stolen, a Spyderco Police 3, and it royally sucks. I hope that at the very least insurence comes through and gives you what you deserve in terms of compensation. Good luck.

If the meds were opiates, stimulants or benzodiazipines, 99% chance you know the person. And they know where you keep your meds. If the meds stolen were not controlled substances, they most likely have no drug problem, and were there for your knives and watches. Hope they O.D. shouldn't say it but thieves are scum.

check ebay regularly, you can refine your search so that it shows items only located within a certain radius. Good luck.

Geez man sorry to hear about that. I really hope your able to get your knives back or at least get them covered by insurance.

I'm no expert on these things, but it sure seems like the thief had some inside info. I mean something made them pick your house right?

Anyway, best of luck.

I hope everything works out for you man. Unfortunately most of the time these dipsh*ts don't even know what they got. To most people a $300 folder is the same as a $20 folder. Keep an eye out man and hopefully you get some insurance money to resume your collection.

That suck's to no end..I'd hate to say it also, but if your med's were the type people abuse...and were the knive's on display or like alot of us they were in a drawer...
any other drawer's gone through? the pills may have been easy to find, but the safe place for your knives.....sound's like friend's or family...from experience......

Hope the theif O.D.'s
crazy roger

The cops do check the pawn shops. At least here in Texas.Be sure to give them all the id info you have and can think of.Thieves are usually too lazy to spread them out. They would likely take them to one and get the cash.
