How about a glass-top display/shadow box style coffee table? A friend uses one to display the shells he’s found scuba diving and it looks great.I just don't find the idea of a tool chest being in my family room/ bar area to be that appealing

Those old Gerstner chests are really nice.Gerstner uses felt to line the drawers. Seems like it should work as well in a tool chest.
