A lot of handy storage for the money.Wood grain is different but otherwise yes.
Use contact or rubber cement instead of clue. It spreads far better & you don’t have any clumps that are higher…For fixed blades, I'm using an architect's file drawer. Not sure I'd pay new prices for one for this purpose, but you can find them second hand pretty easily.
I need to glue down the felt, you can see it isn't flat. I was trying to avoid that in my first attempt - I don't like glue for things like this, but I guess there's a reason people do it. Securing the edges doesn't work, felt just stretches.

Elmers and 3M also make a spray on adhesive for felt and similar type materials! No clumps!Use contact or rubber cement instead of clue. It spreads far better & you don’t have any clumps that are higher…
I just started my collection this year. (Aside from a couple I had.) but decided to start actually collect recently. I have mine broken up in categories in Plano Fish Tackle Boxes. But do plan to do something like this, when I get my collection up. with fixed blades up top. But for now I keep my tackle boxes, cleaning supplies, belt sheaths, ect. In a Craftsman chest.I bought a three drawer toolbox like this that I keep on my nightstand. At the time, I thought it would never fill up, but I’ve added a few bulky fixed blades since then. It is nice to quickly see if I forgot to return something View attachment 2267434View attachment 2267435
Yup! I posted pics of mine before I read this. I use the 3600sI like the Plano 3700 Pro Latch flat boxes. Not really a display, but a great way to keep knives stored and not banging into one another.
Holy heck, I guess some of you live in neighborhoods that have never had a burglary? Well there's always a first time.I finally got around to organizing the collection by maker in the Nalpak Pelican case. I even went and added some paper towel at the bottom of some of the sections for the shorter knives, so they're all equally accessible. How do you store your knives?
Yeah, I have lived in neighborhoods like that. I worked hard and moved somewhere where I can literally leave my doors open now. My concern is more organization than it is fear of theftHoly heck, I guess some of you live in neighborhoods that have never had a burglary? Well there's always a first time.
I store mine so they are *not* accessible and *not* easy to carry away.
I'd like to see some crackhead skel trying to push a 72" rolling tool chest down the alley.

Sorry, I'm late to the game on this one. I'd recommend an inexpensive tool chest as it will accommodate all sizes of blades! I like my storage solution (Pelican case), but you are limited on small to medium sized folders only.I am interested in how people store their knives. I have about 50 knives in my collection and need to find a better way to store them. I mostly have folders, but also a few fixed blade knives . Some of my knives are in boxes and some are not. Some have sheaths , most don't. I have looked at craftsman or husky tool boxes, but haven't found one that is perfect. I suspect tool boxes are my best option. Just wondering if anyone has found a great option for knife storage.
Thanks
Tool chests make a great storage solution. Stackable, expandable, lockable, and not easily carried away. Avoid the very cheapest ones that don't open and close smoothly, or the contents will get jostled around every time you open a drawer. Don't need the most expensive professional line either.I am interested in how people store their knives. I have about 50 knives in my collection and need to find a better way to store them.
