Ok, I just got one of these. As for mine,

The Grind is symmetrical. Out of the box, the closed centering was off. However, I did not have to go through my normal Triad centering routine. Was able to get it set and centered in seconds, just via the pivot screw.

Yes, there is a TINY amount of space at the lock bar and scales, but it is smooth out of the box, to depress the rocker lock.

Away from that, it’s the best (non xl) firing, and waving thumb plate Cold Steel that I’ve handled to date.

Did I mention that it’s smooth? Like up there with the 4max smooth. The blade free falls with ease, as soon as the lock is depressed. With the thin stock, it freefalls as well as the 4max, and BETTER than the SR1.

I consider it a gentleman’s folder. Could it stand up to the rigors of a hard use folder, in the manner say of a Recon 1 Tanto. Absolutely-not a doubt in my mind.

But with the Carbon Fiber, and it’s smoothness, I can see it falling out of the pocket, with any sort of escalated physical activity.

However, it is absolutely worth the price of admission.

I still wonder who CS is using in Italy. As far as I know, they never answered on the Italian factory for the 4max. Obviously it is not "Italy" (nor did you imply that), but rather whichever maker in Italy CS is using. But whichever, it does not help CS to have quality issues. Having said that, I will reserve judgement until I get my SC, which should be early this week. I'm also mostly concerned with function (safe, smooth operation, no blade play in open or closed positions, solid lockup that releases on command (not all triad locks do ), clean grinds, good heat treat, you know, the whole package

Fox often has machines at idle, or at least they once did. Made a ton of folders for the Iraq war effort under the OKC brand that ended up being sold for very reasonable prices.

Just wanted to bump this thread because I got another Storm Cloud. I returned my first one. I was disappointed on the first go but this time I'm really pleased with the knife. I guess I had very high expectations the first time. Price has come down a bit and now I feel like it's a good value.
