Looks like the weather is going to get nasty for you Texas folk, Hope everything works out for you guys down south, I'll keep you guy's in my prayers:thumbup: It just came a ThunderStorm here & the power just came back on a few munites ago ( off for about 2hrs) I just crashed out on the couch & caught a few zzzzz :D
Keep us updated !

I just left Houston heading North. I heard it was raining right behind me. The humidity climbed so quickly today I was amazed.
Batten down the hatches guys. "Batten 'em down again, we'll show those hatches!"

I live about 20 miles from the coast of South Padre Island, and I am expecting 70-90 mph winds and 6-8 inches of rain early tommorrow. I,ve been boarding up and getting sand bags and supplies all day. We are hunkering down and getting ready for a ride on the morning. Thanks for the prayers. Take care tommorrow all you Southern Texans.

hey Pancho good luck bro. Hopefully the winds will calm a bit, and you will just get a good soaking. God bless....

All of us down here in Texas thank y'all for the prayers and concern. My family and friends are all in Houston and south of there while I am in the Hill Country, so there is the possibility that I will be going on the rescue/repair trek in a few days.

P.S.

For all y'all caught in the middle, I leave with you the words of bullriding legend, Ty Murray: "Bear down, boys!"

I'm just north of H-town, looks like a lot of rain for us right now but nothing too serious. We all know how fast that can change though.

Best of luck my southern friends.

Thanks bud!

Got the last window boarded up and my spyderco native and my surefire under my pillow. Got the bug out bags ready to. Hopefully its just rainy and windy and Dolly is nice to us.

Hey Pancho... I've been monitoring the storm, and interestingly, it looks as if it is losing a bit of it's ferocity. The radar link is showing that the storm has far less red, and more yellow as time passes. Hopefully this trend will continue as temperatures fall during the night.

I hope that keeps up. Thanks for the links.

There is just a light breeze and light rain right now. There was a tornado reported between Port Isabel and Brownsville. Thats whats gonna keep me up tonight. :(

Well NC and the East coast are getting the remains of one of the storms this week. Sunday I drove home to NH from Buffalo NY in a storm that was pretty wild. It measured 1" of rain an hour at the peak, and turned my drive from 7 hours into 11.5 of white knuckles.... I swear I dont think its rained like that since Naoh and family were in the ship building business :)

Good luck to the folks in TX, and along the east coast which is getting hammered today thru tomorrow!

If any of you guys get in a jam and need supplies, etc., let us know and I'll organize a care package campaign via the membership here. I'm sure people will chip in, right everyone?

Wind and rains are increasing. Havnt lost power yet, but alot of coastal towns have. Dolly just turned into a category 2. 100+mph winds. Were in for a wild ride. Keep you posted, power permitting.

I'll help out if needed ,I am in the DFW area but my bro's south of me hollar if you need something !!

Wonder how everyone is doing down there.
We have wind and rain here in Central Texas, but nothing major at this time.

On Southpadre and Brownsville things are pretty rough right now. Where I am at and McAllen, we have 70+ miles winds. I didnt think 70mph was anything to be worried about, but WOW. I peeked out my back door and my and my neighbors sheds, and wooden swingsets are trashed. I can live with that. Amazingly we still have power though it up and down. This storm is taking its sweet time and is expected to be another 6-8 hrs before it settles down. There are downed trees everywhere. I guess I am going to have to pull the old chainsaw out and help out folks once Dolly heads to Mexico.
