BTW, very nice work. I'm really digging the last one.

Awesome! I think I got it! Thanks so much!

Turbo dog is off to a great start! I don't want to give him the " big head" but how many of us can say our first three knives looked this good.

Haha. Thanks, Jim! It's easy to stay humble around here looking at some of the knives these other guys are making!

Turbo... I tried to PM you back but it says your box is full...

What you are looking for I posted over in the gallery...

Dang the pm limit! I had just cleared my inbox because I was struggling with that in order to message you. And it's still clear from all but one message that's not yours. Either way, I'll definitely go check on your gallery. Would you mind giving some answers to my questions about the microsuede in the kydex from above? Thanks!

So last night I put some serious thought into what I want out of my next batch other than the fillet knife for my cousin. Here are some sketches:

Also, my buddy Ben who I designed that big chopper for, sent me this box of awesome hardwood!

The big ones on the left are Black Walnut, the middle is Oak and Cherry, and the far right is all Boisdarc. Super excited to do some real woodworking! What do y'all think!?

For the knife we were discussing, a pic is in this thread... http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1142688
Not one in my personal gallery.

For the m microsuede, I have only done it on a two piece, gluing up the microsuede with contact cement before final assembly with eyelets. Use a piece of kydex welting to account for the thickness change. I haven't heated kydex with it on... yet... I am working on a project and will be doing a kydex fold-over wrapped by leather. I will be lining it. I think I am going to form it up, then just heat the spine to open it up and glue in the microsuede. It doesn't stretch much and I doubt the cement would stand the heat, so this is the best bet I reckon.

Here is a safariland holster innards with the microsuede.

Cheers.

Wow, Lucy! Thanks so much for the thorough response and for the feed back on the boot knife! I like all those designs quite a bit. Most of them will be either cpm154 or o1. The two edc blades at the top are something I'm really wanting for myself to take the place of my 940 and show people that ask about my work.

Yeah I really like that boot knife as well, awesome drawing skills too btw, much better than my 2d flat boring sketches on grid paper lol
