So this has probably been done 100 times but I was thinking about it today. If you had to be stranded in the canadian north, amazon, and desert which knife would you choose to be stranded with and why?

For the jungle and canadian north I would choose a .32 coated ASH. Its a knife you can do anything with from chopping to skinning to use as a weapon and with its thickness it would be very hard to break.

For the desert I would choose a something light and reflective with a non conductive handle that could be used as a weapon. Maybe a regulator LE.

My skinny ash; ive chopped wire with it with no damage,so in the woods would be even easier.

I'd want my Ranger RD-6 close at hand. A beast she is but I'm convinced it could handle any task up to and including carving a spoon if need be:D

Why my BK-2, of course.

I am going to be the "different" one on a knife forum. I am going to pick a Victorinox SwissTool MT. It is bombproof, nearly rust proof in my experience, and it has a lot of useful tools in a survival situation. Saw, blades, scissors, wire cutters (who knows if you need to cut fencing or barbed wire!), pliers to pull splinters and other tasks, a metal file that could potentially saw off a lock, and so on.

The best combo is a MT AND a knife! But if it came down to one or the other I'm choosing the MT. Plus, I'm not going to lash my ONLY survival tool onto a stick and attempt to spear an animal. If the animal freaks out and rolls around or runs away like most animals do when they get hit the stick will probably break... Then, you will be at even more of a disadvantage because you don't have your knife!

Please let me know if you guys agree or disagree with me.

Thanks

One of those $10 rambo knives with the hollow handle that comes with some fishing line and matches.
