Strange Daryl Dixon knife from Season 5 Walking Dead

The holes on knives are actually a new survival trend. When you have your dehydrated water and you need to stir in water to make fresh water, the holes help make the process more quicker.

Gees by the looks of Dixons new knife...I'm thinking the new WD seasons will have some dragons...maybe a hobbit, hell Rick will likely be sporting one of those pointy wizard hats...

$299.00 for that POS!!!! I wouldn't pay $29.99 for that piece of crap looking imitation of a knife! And THAT thing was supposedly designed by a "master knife maker"!!!! YGBSM!!!! I made a better looking knife in shop class back in 1958 when I was in high school! AMC better get their act together and get some more Busse's for Daryl and the gang! That thing is a joke!

I bet he wanted something lite to carry and complained about the weight of the TGLB and the props department came up with this and they all probably thought not many people would notice.

But..but..it's brought to you by the same fine people that are also selling TWD coffee mugs, travel mugs, and T-shirts, you know, "knife experts". The same company is also selling dog clothes, posters, and "Daryl's RolePlay Crossbow Toy". The only salvation of this travesty is that hopefully Busse gets some cash out of it, so they can continue to produce GOOD knives.

I just want to know WHY......if this was to be believable, what are the odds that Daryl would find a knife that was almost shaped exactly the same as his previous knife. Not too many knives out there with the quillions designed this way.

they obviously followed the same cutout as the Busse....is Busse ok with this?
if someone handed me a 1/4" flat solid cutout of a Team Gemini an said make this as ridiculous an stupid looking as you can...that knife would be EXACTLY what I would come up with..
take a Team Gemini, remove ALL toughness, all manliness, replace g10 with thin steel slabs, cut diamond or heart holes in it, give it a ridiculous name an whala!! The blood diamond!!

This has been covered quite a while back. Bossman gave an explanation as to what was going on.

I just can't find the thread. It was in General Knife Discussion.

The blood diamond was first done by Southern Grind, off plans which were given to them. Jerry said they backed out immediately afTer finding out it was a copy of a Busse.

So...did the merchandiser just go to the next person in line?
Zac Brown seems like a stand up guy.

That knife is strikingly bad looking. Don't know what possible thought process led to that.

Thanks for finding that link Chris! I couldn't find it on this "crapatalk" app.

No worries. It was bugging me too. I think a lot of people breathed a collective sigh of relief when Zac Brown backed out because he and Southern Grind seem to be fairly well respected.

I hope Jerry or one of his crew can shed some light on this before there is too much more speculation :)

wow...so that manufacturer backed out, good for them. so what sheet metal fab shop finally sat on the pot, an agreed to squeeze that copycat out of production?? cause obviously someone did cause its available..

Did not know they were still being produced. Last I heard Southern Grind pulled out of the deal when they found out they were ripping Busse Combat off.

Why would they not have contacted Busse to do 1000 limited edition knives, price? They would have sold out just from the Busse collectors.

Have to ask, this is sarcasm right? Guessing using the term "more quicker" is supposed to be the nail in the coffin(somehow)?
