Strange Daryl Dixon knife from Season 5 Walking Dead

that thing is a joke to be kind..... Hello.. Call it what you will but I see no resemblance to a real knife

That's disgusting. What a punch in the stomach to Busse knives. This really angers me,but I try not to be surprised by anything hollyweird does.

Why would they not have contacted Busse to do 1000 limited edition knives, price? They would have sold out just from the Busse collectors.

Because the production company could not make the 200% to 300% mark up they are making on that piece of garbage they are making now.

Zac Brown makes knives??? Wow, I did NOT know that... :o You learn something new everyday. :D

This current knife of Daryl's is disgusting! :barf:

This is the original thread:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...d-Daryl-s-Season-5-knife-(Sort-of)-Identified

The blood diamond was first done by Southern Grind, off plans which were given to them. Jerry said they backed out immediately afTer finding out it was a copy of a Busse.

So...did the merchandiser just go to the next person in line?
Makes a guy wonder how many of those things they made for the Woodbury store before they pulled out. Probably quite a few. A lazer probably did 95% of the work l, and it sure as heck doesn't look like they spent much time grinding on the blade.

I just caught this thread or I would've stepped in sooner.

It's a long involved story so I'll just skip to the bottom line.

Zac Brown and Southern Grind knives: They are a great group of guys who are driven by the desire to make high quality blades in America. They are a real stand-up crew and they have some really cool blades.

Rodney Shelton: One of the nicest gentlemen you could ever hope to encounter. A very kind man and a fine knifemaker in his own right.

Blood Diamond: Was designed primarily as a prop for the show. I don't think anyone would actually buy this knife to be a "user".

Let's Drink:thumbup:

Jerry:D

Jerry I'm very glad that you're happy with the way things are. That's really the only thing that matters. That you speak so highly of Mr Brown and Mr Shelton speaks volumes as to their character as well.

(... and the Blantons Private Reserve is going down great thanks :) )

This is my personal opinion. But I think Zac Brown's music and knives suck. Don't know about the other guy.....that crap knife Zac made for the show is just as ugly as his music. The guy can't figure out what kind of music he wants to sing, first it's chicken fried pop country crap, now it's rock with Chris Cornell....next he wants to do tecno. The guy is an idiot in my opinion. ...but either way...his blades suck in my opinion. Hope I don't offend anyone by this.

I actually saw one of these yesterday, some 12 year old chubby kid at sportsmans wearhouse...uuugh...where is noss when you need him?

Many people decided that the TG was the shiz because it was on the TV show. TG's sold like hotcakes. It only stands to reason that they offer up another knife to try and sell more. The show is about making money, selling advertising, and merchandise. It is after all a ZOMBIE show. If you do not like the new knife, don't buy one. Knife purchases influenced by what an actor uses on a TV show are always going to be a little funky. Remember, TV is not real, it is just for entertainment. I hope they sell a shit ton of blood diamond knives, make lots of money, and live happy lives. Even better I hope they are kicking down some sweet royalty checks.
