Strength and courage -- for those who are concerned and care about me.

The collection team is pre-booked for the next like about 12 months.

( Which may or may not have anything to do with my khukuri purchases and my being ostentatiously elsewhere certain times of the moon. )

I have no formalized religious faith. Upon describing it to others I've been described as a number of things, but perhaps an ecclectic Buddhist or Druid is closest.

I share your view of life and death. They come to us alternately and it is up to us how we face them.

I feel better now knowing your view of it, as that comforts me to know that you are already comforted.

We may never meet face to face in this life, Bill, but I have no doubts we will meet face to face in the next one, and when we do, the beer is on me (smile), though I'll do my toasting with my customary Diet Coke, because, what would the next plane of life be without those things we like (LOL).

I wish I could say something that made sense tonight, Bill, you're one of those rare people who one seldom encounters in life. In the words of my people, "a mensch." Everything will be fine. I know that now.

All will be well,
And all will be well,
And all manner of things will be well.

"Showings".

True in the long run. And if you are attuned as Bill is, in the short run also.

If you have to leave us in the near future, I hope you fulfill your desires for release in good time, Uncle. If you don't have to leave so soon, so much the better for us.

Well even so, if I had my druthers the docs would get you patched up so I'm still keeping that as the objective. Not that there is anything wrong or avoidable about dealing with karma.

UB,
We are happy that you are at peace. We would be happier, however, if you were at peace here...;)

Though we have never met. Know that there is one more of the Cantina that loves you like a brother. :)

still hoping and praying but smiling none the less.

I did the same thing for/with my Mother a short time ago. It really is the best way.

Bill, you are truly a Man among men. That was well put and eloquent. I can truly see your point of view. I'm glad you are prepared. We all should be. (especially in this world) You are the man I aspire to be.

Brian

BTW- If I can do anything..... donate a kidney maybe? Don't hesitate.

Uncle,

I am glad to know your standpoint, and it seems the best one to me. I still wish you the best of health, and hope you shall be smoking Camels, drinking Heinekens, and selling khukuris happily for many years yet.

Very well said, Bill. May all of us who know you develop the same courage and wisdom in the years to come. :)

I think someone offering their kidney to you as though it were some small thing shows what everyone here thinks of you. Also, I really don't think I could ever find the kind of peace that you have.

Many thanks, all. Tomorrow should tell the story of whether I'll be living (or trying to;)) with one bad kidney or two.

Thanks, Red. One of my favorites. "vanity of vanities, sayeth the Preacher."

Ecclesiates. Probably one of my favorite books of the Bible.

Two of my faves out of it goes something like: I saw that under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of favor but time and chance happen to all. and: Eat your bread and drink your wine with a merry heart.

Also there is something in there I always wondered if it could refer to past lives. Something about God made it so man could not comprehend what went on from beginning to end. Always wondered if he was alluding to maya.

While mired in my own difficult times ,I've recently dicovered that life never gets any easier, but it can get better. With that in mind, we know we are all in decline since our arrival, we must grin and bear it. We must all be able to grin when we meet our makers, and don't forget to say "thanks fer the ride"

Acceptance can lead to understanding, and triumph over the trivial.

Thanks, Bill.

Keith

I included you in my prayers during todays mass. I really hope all goes well tomorrow. Tom Shedd.
