Strider .75 AR Controversy

So I've seen some Strider fans on other social media pages are pretty upset that the new .75 AR was possibly made in the Medford factory.

My question to them is, since when have they been concerned about Mickey Burger falsely representing himself or what he's made?

Or are they just upset they may have received a halfway decently made knife?

I'm actually a little ashamed to admit that I do kinda like this knife, and if it were made 100% by Medford with no input from Burger (or Dwyer) I would have considered buying one.

I will admit that immediately upon holding the ar .75 for the time I thought, this feels like a praetorian Genesis T. Smooth as glass. Perfect lockup and very rigid gimping and then the blade grinds at or near custom. I like both brands regardless.

I'm not a member of the Strider Facebook group where all the drama is supposedly happening. I've just seen posts in other places about it, but supposedly the whole thing is a he-said-she-said situation at this point.

I just find it ironic that people are more upset about this than some of Burger's other actions

If you check for 90 degree angles and can't find any because they were cut a with a water jet that cuts all material at a uncontrolled 91- 93.4 degrees then it was more than likely made by Medford and whatever receptionist he currently has running it.:)

If it smells of urine, it was probably made by Burger.

If I remember correctly, didnt Mick announce he was getting out of knife manufacturing? Only way he would come out with a new knife is having someone make it for him.

What is the problem exactly? Designed by Strider, made well by anyone is better than no knife at all.

Is there any hard evidence of this?

Josh confirmed it on the official FB forum after it sounded like people were asking questions about it on the Medford forum. Says there is a .75 GB on the way from them too.

finally one detail that’s totally Medford is the numbering system used inside of the lock side scale

I for one am genuinely upset! If Medford made this knife that means they were dealing with that pile of nonsense rather than developing a slim version of the Infraction like they should have been doing.:thumbsdown::poop:

Agreed. It's also hard to believe Greg would partner with that turd.

I got kicked out and banned from the Strider Facebook group after I called His Highness "Brigadier General" Mickey Ray Burger by his real name and mentioned his dishonorable lie to sell knives.. I was also told that I am angry about the Striders "like the rest of the too poor consumers who can not afford the best quality high end knifes like Striders and do not deserve to carry a Strider" :D:D:D:D:D I am still laughing when I recall those PM and group post messages. :poop::poop::poop::poop::thumbsdown::confused:

P.S. However to be fair I have to mention this too: I sent in my SMF to Mickey Burger and Marissa for warranty, frame lock was not functioning well, frame was barely in 1mm. Took 1+ month to get my knife back from Mr. Burger and he/his team did great A+ job with warranty and service. So I do have to give +1 :thumbsup::thumbsup: to team Mickey Burger Knives for excellent customer service and warranty repair!

I really like this forum but am learning many here are followers or bros, just amazing to me. How can you idolize a knife, just seems weird to me, especially idolizing a maker like he is God. It is a piece of steel that is easily, yes, easily made to a sharp point or edge that is mimicked over and over yearly by new gimmicks. The key is that who pays biggest in marketing will have those who will follow most. Look how people respond to Strider knives, some hate him and feel tough talking shit about him on internet, the other half swing off his balls with his brilliance of knife making? To me, both are dumb and dumber, they made a movie about it. In reality, the knife is a knife, it doesn't do anything special that any other knife will do. Soon, I will benefit from this.
