Strider is like a Kalashnikov sebenza like an AR series

Sebenza is Selma Hayek with French lingerie and a whip, Strider is Rosanne Barr with a strap-on and a baseball bat. Choose your pick.

A Sebenza is Ronald Reagan saying "Mr Gorbachev, Tear Down This Wall."

A Strider is Rod Blagojevich saying "I'll sell you a Senate Seat (along with my honor) for a quick buck."

You do know that the horse you're trying to ride right now has been dead a long time now.
Actually it has been dug up again, beaten some more and put back into the ground. For good reason too.

So... Even though it's high, you should probably just get of that horse and let it go.
I'm so tired of the whole Mick Strider is a "..." references. It's getting old, whether it's true or not. :jerkit:

Having said that... Strider is like a Bar Brawl and the Sebenza is like a UFC fight. :D

How about this:

The Sebenza is a tough as hell top quality knife made by a gentleman.

The Strider is (according to reports, I've not actually handled one) a well built quality knife made by a guy who dishonored himself by lying about his military history in order to make himself famous.

A Sebenza is Ronald Reagan saying "Mr Gorbachev, Tear Down This Wall."

A Strider is Rod Blagojevich saying "I'll sell you a Senate Seat (along with my honor) for a quick buck."

Actually, it's not a dead horse yet for many. There are still plenty of people out there who don't know what a dishonorable person Mick is, so I hope you'll understand if I mention the shame he brought on himself. I do know that there are many people on these boards who have heard about it ad nauseum, but there are also a lot of new people who come here that don't know the history of the situation. That is obvious from the number of times someone starts a thread asking the exact same question that has been answered a thousand times. Apart from a little occasional sarcasm (like the one posted in this thread) I don't make rude or inappropriate statements, although I do offer a strong opinion. As long as it's done respectfully and in accordance with the guidelines of these boards I don't believe it's a problem.

I'd also like to point out that I am not commenting about any of the employees of the Strider Knives company. I don't know any of them but I've never heard anything but good about the service their company has given its customers. I'm not passing judgement on anyone who works for them or even on anyone who chooses to carry a Strider knife. They do indeed have a loyal following which is fine. We are all free to make our own choices, a right I support and defend. My problem is with Mick himself.

As I said, while it may be a tiring situation to the old timers here, there are plenty of people out there who don't know what history Mick Strider has. As shameful as his actions were, I believe it appropriate to mention them so that others can make an informed decision about whether or not to deal with him.

Whether anyone disagrees or agrees, just on imagery alone, that post is worth a thumbs up, and perhaps a mental note of potential TMI regarding eburon's proclivities...:p

Kind regards,

Strider t-shirt says "Lick my sack!"

Sebenza t-shirt says "Measure twice, cut once."

Sebenza is the girl you would take home to mom.....

Strider is the town bike that your old man would probably wink at.....

Hinderer is the one that you would marry :D

How'd I do? :p

Not the place for it, from any perspective. This is the General Knife Discussion, Not the Soldier of Fortune Drink and Pistol Club. If you want to dis Mick, go to his forum and do it, or post in the Good, the Bad, the Ugly.

A smart remark is one thing, that's as much a part of the dead horse as the whole topic -- which in this thread is being taken for a bit of comic relief -- but please DO NOT launch any more tirades into public morality in this subforum.

I think AR owners are just stuck up rich people whose self worth is tied to the image of the AR, while the AK is joe sixpaxk every guy who just has to git-er-done!

I have a Bushmaster and I am not really stuck up. I say to each his own. I like how well the AR shoots, looks, and field strips. I am not opinionated on much of anything, especially when it comes to knives, guns, and girls!;)

By the way, I am not rich either at 18 years old and pretty much just out of high school.

But in case there is anyone out there who does feel this way, that is what I think about it. I know people that will say things like that.

Howd this thread get so far of course? It started out with the immortal words: "I dont own either but..."

My strider is like a Su 15, where as my sebbie is an F4... No wait the strider is Su27, the seb an F15-E, no wait wait, the strider is a Mig31 the seb is an F117... No wait for real: THE STRIDER IS A B1, THE SEB A B-2...

Now I dont own an AR or an AK, but its my opinion that AR owners are anti-free trade protectionists, who like over-priced, malfuntion prone american goods, while AK owners are commie loving aetheists who hate americans and their superior acurate rifles that defend their choice to buy the ak's...

A strider is a seahawk helicopter and sebenza an apache helicopter.

Awwwww, geez. You were doing so good there, too. You got 'em backwards. The Seahawk, like the Sebenza, is more graceful and (to me) just plain purty to look at.

The Apache, and Strider, looks like a green tank with wings & warts.

Personally, I love both. :D

thx - cpr

Thank you, Esav, it's getting real old - much older since the topic is the poster's favorite here - not knives.

Striders are HK .308's carried by healthy young soldiers on the battlefield, Sebenzas are Weatherby's lugged around by overweight suburbanites in a fenced preserve filled with tame ungulates.

Strider's are HMMV's with armor and a MK19 40mm grenade launcher, Sebenza's are H3's with optional chrome parked at the Mall.

I don't see a "born on" certificate as adding much to the knife. It's hype to impress the collector. That, to me, is unethical. Just ship it in a plastic ziploc bag, that's as good as it will ever get.

Striders are to be clipped to the back pocket. Sebenzas are to be clipped to the front pocket. Ideally at the same time.

Anybody seen that big white and black spotted deer around here? They look like this:

btw I'll killin' it with this new (ok it's old) knife from CRK: The Suspenza!

100% Amurica made too! HOOO AHHH!

Ah, no, Striders are clipped to battle vests, Sebenza's are clipped to Dockers, and Chinese box knives are clipped to Carhartt back pockets or belts handle side out.

Of course, what do I know, my first gun was an HK, which I sold to protect my humble self image.

Strider is like the name of a knife company, Sebenza is like the name of a knife
