Hey all,
So I sent my PT CC in to Strider for a warrenty repair (when I got the knife it would lock at about 105% and wouldn't unlock). I sent it to them on April 2nd via USPS Priority and then sent them an email on April 20th to check the status of the repair. On that day Heather said it had just arrived and that it would take two weeks to fix it. On May 12th I sent them another email to see if it had been finished yet. I got an email from someone named Jess today who told me it actually arrived at Strider on May 8th and that it would now take another two weeks to fix.

What's the deal. Has anyone else had similar problems?

I think that when and if I get the knife back I'm going to totally pimp it and say to hell with the warrenty, because I don't really feel like dealing with them again.

Whine and cheese is where this belongs. No other comments on Striders as I don't any anymore. keepem sharp

PS the ones I did own were excellent though

Why would someone asking about warranty service and how long it takes belong in whine and cheese?

From what I've heard it can take anywhere from 2-5 weeks. With Blade coming up soon I imagine they have a lot on their plate right now.

OK so I just got the fastest email reply ever from Strider. Heather just told me that it was sent back to me on the 8th so I should be getting it soon.

Didn't mean to do any Strider bashing, I was just worried.

Also I love this knife. It's my favorite knife I own. I really like the unique construction, simplicity and quality materials. And I think it looks cool.

Thanks for the replies, I hadn't thought about Blade.

This is one of the reasons to send your knife by registered mail. There's no doubt about when the knife was received.

Actually it belongs in FEEDBACK: GB&U

I've never had an issue with any Strider knives I owned.

I sent a Strider back once. Got it back in a couple weeks repaired, oiled, cleaned, and resharpened. I only had to pay for return shipping.

So the knife broke and you had to pay for shipping both ways? Was it your fault it broke or something wrong with the knife? I think I would be a little irritated having to cover shipping both ways if it was something wrong with the knife that I did not cause.

You're correct, I was a little annoyed about that but the knife never had a problem after and neither did the other 3 Striders I had. I sold them all when I needed cash.
