Which is understandable, but part of buying a Strider is putting it to hard use. I understand not replacing it like in your example of using a cheater bar to snap it, but what if I pry open a door with it? Is that stupid to him? Part of the initial cost is the warranty, at least that's the way I saw it.
I understand your point and that was the quote I was referring to. The only people that can answer that is them, but as Mick explained it's more in line with trying to get people to stop intentionally trying to push the knives way beyond what any idiot should do with a folding knife. People do some crazy stuff with them and then expect a new knife when it breaks. Start a thread there and Mick will probably answer you.
