Stripped, and sanded my Brute. Not perfect, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. Wasn't wanting something too polished, want it to be a user. I just used 100 grit on it. Also, a shout out to The Guyon for sending me some Camillus grivory for it. Thank you sir, appreciate it. Anyways, on to the photos.

This is what it looked like when I got it:

After stripping and sanding:

A few indoor photos:

You can see how deep the grooves were. No way I was gonna sand all that out:

Thanks for looking.

Very nice Warrior! I like the KA-BAR grivory on there a lot better ... BUT either way awesome knife, I think it suits you. Looks very nice with that natural steel showing through.

Thanks man. I was thinking about giving it a patina. I was also thinking of bluing it when I finished sanding, but it's hard to get it to look even cold bluing.

Bluing would be cool, then giving the high points some highlight... Cold bluing something like that would take some patience to say the least, a lot of bluing, cleaning, and re-bluing. You could always just immerse the blade in hot vinegar, give it that dull grey look.... You would have to have some sort of long vase or long shallow pan to get the whole blade in there LOL. Whatever you do I know it'll be cool, its just such a very neat blade.

I've done the vinegar soak thingy before. I do like the results.

the sharpening notch on that is hilarious.
It's definitely better nekkid. Nice job.

looking nice I have one stripped too.... I need a second one.. so I can double fits them

Thanks. I look forward to using it. Have a bit of a brush pile out back that needs chopped up a bit. Will use the 1 when the time comes.

That brute looks excellent! I notice the pommel is flush with the grivory. Was that a mod done to this particular knife, or were all Brutes made like that?

Thanks. They were made like that. I don't think any of the older Beckers had pommels.

Any chance Ka-Bar will resurrect this awesome blade?
I so want one but can't afford the dollars they get on the used market.
