Strongest , toughest , fastest folder @ 150$ max

military, nice oversize handle that you can really grab and hold on to, large positive thumbramp, lightly enough to carry every day, will never let you down and would go through anything if you were to ask it to (as long as you don't pry with the tip)..

For your stated requirements, I'd put the ZT0350 at the top, followed closely by the 710.

Thanks very much for all the help !

I think I will go with the ZT 0350
Cheaper than the Benchmade and the Spyderco , and it's seems like it's also much stronger and durable as well

I'm in need of a new EDC folder as well and the ZT 0350 seems like a great knife but the Blur S30V can be had for ~$40 less. I'm sure both are good knives but is the ZT 0350 justified in it's higher price tag?

Yes, I feel that the ZT 0350, 0200 are much better choices. The 0200 and 0300 series are definitely large heavy knives but they disappear in the pocket.

If you want tough, take a look at the Spyderco D'Allara. It's a tough as hell knife. Very smooth, very solid. The Spyderhole is a little larger than normal, making it very easy to catch, and letting you flip open the knife very quickly. One of the most comfortable handles I've found on a knife. Also, it was discontinued a little while back, so you can find some good deals on it (I picked one up for $60).

The Military is quite fast, however the tip is extremely sharp. Although I find it to be satisfactory, some may find the tip to be a bit delicate.

Some of my favorite "tactical" knives are
-Kershaw Blur
-Kershaw G10 Tyrade
-Buck/Strider tanari
-Kershaw TI JYDII
-Kershaw speed/spec Bump
-Spyderco FFG Endura
-Benchmade Dejavoo
-Cold Steel Pocket Bushman
All of these are well within your price range and they're all awesome knives.
You might also want to look into the Benchmade HK folders as well.

Perhaps a spyderco Manix 2.

That knife rocks man....A little smaller than the others mentioned, but an outstanding knife none the less. I actually wish it was about the size of the military or police 3.

I know that you said you decided on the ZT0350, but I still got to throw out these two!

Everything that has been mentioned about the ZT0200, on this thread and many others, is true. It is a heavy duty knife with sexy curves. The 154CM blade comes sharp and stays that way with some quick touch up's. Liners are as thick as some framelocks at .080". Plenty fast with the flipper or thumbstuds.
Secondly the ZT0500. This is another hd knife that has urethane seals around the pivot and the lock. Great knife that I think has been disc.

So there you go. Any of the three you first mentioned are going to be great knives!

If I were me I'd reccomend a Benchmade 520 Presideo. Very strong, tough and opens really fast. At 3.4" the blade is a little shorter then a Millie, 710 or 0300 but it's still pretty bitchin. I love the Axis lock.

i have been using a Emerson CQC8 for the past 2 years.. i recently bought a ZT350 and it's a really nice, sturdy knife, but i feel like it's just a little too small for my hand.. the Emerson is in my pocket at the moment

Its fast. It comes with a patented pocket hook opening Thumb Plate

Its priced right. You can find them for various sizes and various models many of which are less than you want to spend.

Its strong, tough and reliable with the Triad lock and AUS8 steel so it has all three of what you want.

Its priced right, its got a tough steel and probably the strongest most reliable lock on the market today and comes in multiples of models and blade shapes. Many are equipped with that thumb plate Andrew Demko patented and Cold Steel now has the rights to and I can tell you on the few I have using that Thumb Plate that its highly reliable and fast.

The AK-47, the Spartan, The Rajah II or III and there may be a few I've missed as well as some non thumb plate models like the American Lawman, Voyager, Recon and Gunsite folders all have it and all are well under your price point. Most are available at our favorite dealers too so if this is what you want no excuses left. Get one.

Look at the HK 14205. The blade is as thick as the BM 610 but almost a full inch shorter at 3.4 in.. It has solid liners, Axis-Lock, and has a great blade shape for toughness (not a great slicer). Only blade in BM line up that might be more robust is the 755 or the 520. The 710 is great but the tip scares me for really hard use.

I have a Tops/buck CSAR-T and it is absolutly the toughest folder I have ever handled. This is one strong puppy.
