Hey, TonyG, do I remember correctly.... Is there Chihuly artwork on display at the deYoung, or has it moved on already?
It was there for several months but left around October 1st. Now there is a very cool sculpture exhibit of Maya Lin. I didn’t realize it until I got home and started reading the book I bought for my girlfriend, but she designed the Vietnam Memorial. And that is a great story because she did the design as part of her course work in Architecture while a student at Yale before there was a design competition for the memorial itself. So she pretty much just took her course work design and sent it off when the competition opened.
Here is a link to the exhibit info. The video at the bottom is interesting but it is an hour long. If you click on the video you get to a site where the video is indexed and you can get through it.

The DeYoung has a cool Friday evening thing with a bar and music and dancing and it is open until 9:00. So I can do culture and still get drunk  If all ya'll ever get out her you should check it out
Oh!!! I should warn you that some art may have sexual innuendo.
