Stupid! Massive Injury

Well gents this will be short because I am one handing this.

This one is CMGRAY level easy!

I decided to drill the tubes off another Busse. I was not using a vice.
Drill grabbed the blade and spun it out from under my hand.

Cut huge u shaped slice into my hand. Laid a BIG flap of meat open.
Skin and Muscle tissue involved. Knife kept spinning and sliced open my t-shirt and abdomen just a little (lucky just skin

50 external stitches and a drain tube. Unknown number of internal stitches.

Doc says my hand will heal fine as long as I don't get infected.

Happened super fast.....Did not feel it but the table was quickly awash with blood. :o

Emergency room was GREAT! They took me in front of about 30 people with out batting a eye.

The Nurse was a stone cold Hottie! :D

Yes there will be pictures. :grumpy:

I am ok and I feel REAL stupid for such a Dumbass stunt.

It was a SAR5...:)

Oh man - thank God you did not get permanent damage out of this!

That just sounds painful - glad that things are working out ok - but I am not sure that I want to see the pics..

I suppose you drove yourself to the hospital?

LOL....No my unhappy wife did the honors of driveing me.... Then she was blocking my play for the hot nurse.....:grumpy:
 
Imagine what a 7-9 inch blade would have done.......the Sar 5 + a drill = whirling dervish of death!

:(...Sorry to hear, brother, smoke rising towards you for NO infection, and I hope that your hand & abdomen heal up super fast without complication. :thumbup:

Dude! Scars are totally in (if this was really true, my face and hands would have gotten me so.........nevermind, family forum and all:D), they get the Hotties all Naughty! But, I know there are easier ways to get them. Get well quick and prayers are outbound for a clean wound.:thumbup:
 
Unlucky mate, just think though if it had gone worse then you could be asking Jerry to make you an infi hook!

Damn brother. I feel for you. I have gotten the drill attachment caught in my shirt a few times while cleaning up my knives. No knife spinnage but tore up a few shirts and even tore one dang near off me. :D

If it helps I stupidly cut my quad open with a box cutter last year while cutting up card board. 18 stitches. But the kids love my scar. I get to make up all sorts of 20 on 1 stories. ;)

Just listen to the doc and try to take it easy. You'll be back at it in no time.
 
You should tell your wife that she should be glad that you don't have longer legs or that abdomen slice might have been...well, I'll bet you can figure it out.

Seriously though--I'm glad you're ok and things were not worse. Take care!
 
No good. Get well soon (you should send me that SAR for punishment, biting you for no good reason).

I bet you clamp er down and give er hell the next time you to meet!

At least you got the hot nurse looking out of it. I cut my finger and all I got was an old nurse and a doctor who could not hold his hand steady enough to give me a numbing shot before the shaky crappy stitches.
 
Hard sayin's man,must have been like gettin' your hand in a lawn mower,gives me the creeps just thinking about it.
