stupid newbie

Yeah... I wasn't grabbing the blade. lol. I don't think it would have worked that way either. You would think it's epoxied on. It just does not want to come off.

Clamp the blade in the vise sideways (so the handle sticks out the side) leaving a gap so you can fit an open crescent wrench down in it. But rather than prying, hammer on the side of the wrench so your forcing it against the handle material (away from the vise AND blade). She can't be THAT stuck, can she? If she is get a bigger hammer!

Dustin if your married ask the wife if she can pull it off.Sorry i can t resist. But seriously put the knife in the freezer then try to tap it off. If that doesnt work make a new handle.

wouldnt it just be easier to take some tin foil, a wire coat hanger, duct tape, beanie baby, 3 Q tips and a glazed donut oh and a thermal couple and make a lawn chair time machine and go back in time and just not do it in the first place. seems like all these other ideas are just too much work. like i always say work smart not hard!
oh to get the time machine to work you must wear a womans thong. dont ask how i know please.
at any rate good luck

get 2 equal pieces of wood like a maple or something similar cut to about 1/4" thick and as wide as the handle half. put a piece on either side by the handle and clamp the blade i the vise leaving about half the handle sticking up. (do it spine up for safety).
take another piece of wood thats notched the same width of your blade and put it against the 2 pieces and smack the single piece hard. you might have to flip it edge up but be careful you dont cut yourself.

My digital camera is broke but, I may be able to borrow one. If I do, I'll get some pics up maybe this weekend. This is my first hidden tang knife and my first attempt at a gaurd so I'm learning...
